This afternoon at 13:05 , I spotted a forming funnel cloud, and immediately turned on my public safety lights, pulled over and turned on my radio. Once the radio was on, I heard 6 other hams following and reporting the same cloud (Now that’s teamwork). We all stopped what we were doing and kept eyes on it till the cloud went back up to the base. Luckily it never touched down. Due to the efforts and vigilant watch of our Hams and/or Spotters we were able to have a special weather statement issued (Thanks WX0WX).
