Drafting Teacher  – Retired
Originally from Kentucky, He moved to Miami and started his career at Miami Jackson at age 19.With 40+ years at Miami Jackson he has seen it all. He accredits his ability to teach to teachers that took him under their wing when he was a young teacher. He has devoted a great deal of time in locating and the preservation of Miami Jackson Yearbooks. He has been able to teach side by side with greats like, Sarah Bennet, Grace O’Haren, Calvin Magness and Mr. D. E. Moomaw.

With twelve years at Jackson, 4 as a student and 8 as staff, He is very devoted to the history of Jackson. He spends countless weekends at the library looking through microfilm, or at the South Florida Photographic Archives. He has also been known to crawl under the building and pull out old soda bottles from the 30’s and 40’s. Also he is trying to locate any time capsules that may have been buried over the years.

JROTC
As yearbook adviser, he is essential in the recording of Jackson history. Where ever there is action you will find him with a camera. He spends countless hours of his time to help in after school games and/or functions. Jones is essential in locating old yearbooks for the historical archive.

Mr. John Vanwagner
History Teacher   – Retired
With almost as many years as Mr. Bryant he as seen and experienced allot at Miami Jackson. He help Co-Found Miami Jackson’s Ethnic fair with Mr. Mitch Jacoby. The Ethnic fair is ones of Jackson’s most proud traditions. He is also extremely helpful in the restoration of 16mm film.

History Teacher – Retired
The oddball of the group, he helps locate hard to get AV equipment such as 8mm, Super 8mm projectors, Reel to real audio tape players.
